Hi, I’m Joel

My mission: I make a difference in the world each day by helping people and organizations learn how to change easily and naturally to improve the quality of their lives.
What makes me unique?
In order to help me achieve this mission, I earned two masters degrees and a doctorate degree in education. Expanding beyond my academic knowledge I also earned certifications in applied skills and technologies I use to speed up the learning process and to make it more fun and effective.
While earning my doctorate degree, I developed and tested a new theory of reflective learning from experience that led to the development of a set of learning and change programs I call Integrative Learning. In addition to implementing an Integrative Learning and Change blueprint with my clients (individuals, groups, and organizations), I also use techniques of both hypnosis and neurolinguistic programming (NLP) to assist clients to have support for learning and change and to make the change easy, natural, fast, fun, effective, and lasting.
In addition to my academic credentials, I hold credentials as an Advanced Hypnotist and an NLP Trainer. (You can read more about those credentials elsewhere.)
My practical experience backs up my academic credentials. I have taught hundreds of people and instructors in 33 years of volunteer work with the American Red Cross. I have coached hundreds more as a professional consultant and coach, developing and facilitating learning programs world-wide in my own businesses and for global consulting firms working for client companies. In addition to facilitating learning in business and organizational settings, I have been a college professor and a classroom teacher and have written and published books and articles on how people and organizations learn. Some of my books are available on Amazon.com.
I have facilitated learning for organizations, adults, and children in English and Spanish. My professional coaching has taken me throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. I have worked with the very young and with “senior seniors,” and everywhere in between.
Because I am aware that people are experiencing a greater need for learning and change than ever before, I am bringing my mission and services to the Internet where people and organizations around the world have practically unlimited access to what I can do to help them learn and change. I realize that expanding beyond the limits of my previous practice is taking a risk. I am also aware that I will need to bring in more like-minded people into my business so that, together, we can grow in our ability to make a positive difference in the world.

I have designed online courses and have participated in graduate-level on-line courses for academic certification. The online courses developed here will employ state-ot-the-art techniques and technology to facilitate learning.

I look forward to working with you.

I have been involved in learning and change around the world in 12 careers to date.
